about us.
Right across the bridge from Madison Avenue, Joseph Jacobs Advertising in Teaneck, NJ has the big-city know-how, with the small-town emphasis on customer service. Our specialty is marketing products and brands to targeted Jewish markets.
We envision. We plan. We create. And we do it all without the bravado our 100 year history probably entitles us to.
the JJA story.
It all started with a man named Joe.
He had this radical idea that a growing population of Jewish European immigrants represented a powerful market segment. Speak to them, in their language, and they will listen.
Joseph Jacobs invented the idea of targeted marketing--first as an advertising manager at the Jewish Daily Forward, then as the principal of Joseph Jacobs Advertising. His agency quickly grew and clients such as Colgate-Palmolive Co., Maxwell House and Quaker Oats Co. were promoting their brands to the Jewish consumer.
The agency stayed in the family, passing to Joe’s son Richard, who successfully ran the company for decades. In 2003, the younger Jacobs passed the company to a new generation and a new family. Elie Rosenfeld purchased the company and later moved its offices to Teaneck, NJ.
Today, JJA offers companies our award-winning creative expertise, media, full production capability, research, promotions and public relations. JJA has long standing relationships with all Jewish media – 200 national and local publications, Jewish radio and websites.
